Go Green

Going ‘Green’ is the theme of today’s post & I’m writing it whilst sat by the pool in Greece 🙂

It is becoming more important than ever to ‘go green’ and ensure we are acting in a sustainable and eco-friendly way!

I try to do my part by eating organically and recycling as much as I can, and trying not to be wasteful. Every little helps.

This even comes to play with our clothes, I try to buy natural fabrics as much as possible as these are better for the environment and easier to recycle.

I also sell on my old clothes or give them to charity shops. There is always someone else who wants it or will have a need for it!

These photos don’t even do this bomber jacket justice. It is the most stunning silk material and fits like a dream!

I haven’t taken it off recently. The soft green means it goes with nearly everything.

I also am loving jumper dresses at the moment, and they will certainly be a stable wardrobe piece as the weather starts to cool down as we hit Autumn.

Subella London

A couple of weeks back I did a shoot for Subella London to model a couple of their gorgeous bags.

All of their bags are made in Italy with the best quality leather, even the buckles are real gold coated!

I must admit they are a little pricey, but you get what you pay for and they truly are beautiful.

Mini bags are super in fashion right now. It’s all about having a fancy, statement mini bag. I love anything bright coloured and exotic leathers like croc make the perfect little accessory.

Pop on a fur bag charm for the ultimate fashion accessory.

Thorn to be wild

Roses are my favourite flower and also my name so I just couldn’t resist when I saw this beautiful floral dress.

The roses are embroidered on and are such gorgeous colours, they make the dress a real statement piece and compliment the base khaki tone perfectly.

The tan lace up heels are also by far my favourite shoe of the moment. They are so comfy and stunning they look super expensive but were only £40!

Suede Trend

These are my favourite sunnies EVER! & guess what, they are under a tenner! Shop here

This is one of my favorite looks at the moment.

I really enjoy completely colour co-ordinating my outfit to pretty much all one colour as I feel it just makes so much more of a statement.

‘Suede’ seems to have taken the limelight as the hottest trend of the moment. I am crushing over everything suede, hats, clothes, accessories, shoes, you name it.. I want that sh*t in suede girl!
I am on the hunt for the perfect nude suede 2 piece top and skirt. If you see one – let me know!!

How to become a Fashion Blogger

Since I started blogging, I’ve had a few people message me and ask if I have any tips on how I started my blog, so I thought I would do a post on exactly what I have done and any tips I have.

If even one person finds this post useful then it was worth writing 🙂

I still have a long way to go before I achieve the goals I set myself before I started blogging, but I am happy with how things have progressed in the past 6 months and am excited about my future in the blogging world. I have a lot of exciting collaborations coming up so watch this space!

Why did I decide to become a blogger?

I have always been massively into fashion, and always been a little bit (a LOT) of a shopaholic so I am constantly coming home with new bits so I am certainly never lacking with content to share.

I have followed other bloggers for a number of years and watched on with envy thinking I wish I could do that for a job. Then one day I just thought, well why can’t I? So I did, and it was one of the best decisions I ever made.

Starting your blog

There really is no top tip here or secret solution to start blogging, it is quite simple really… just start one!

I decided to use Blogger for my hosting site as they are really super easy to use and popular amongst bloggers.

I then purchased my own domain from www.123reg.co.uk and transferred my blogger to the website address.

Decide what style blogger you want to be and create your content to fit your theme.

It’s best if you can be active across all social platforms (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, Youtube)

I link all my social media accounts to my blog so I can promote myself across all platforms.

Quality Content

One of the most important parts of being a Blogger is ensuring the content you create is attractive to your readers. Using a professional photographer or taking your own photos with a good camera is essential.

I use a photographer for all my blog post photos and then for product pictures or beauty shots I use my iPhone or my Canon DSLR and edit them all all with the same filter.

Attend events

Attending events is a big part of being a blogger. It’s a great way to meet other bloggers, connect with brands and general networking. You’ll never know who you’re going to meet so they are always worth going.
When I first started blogging I used to be scared to go to events , but I’ve met some great people and got new opportunities by attending them so it’s definitely worth it.

Post regularly

My biggest tip is to post regularly and stay active online. Your readers follow you for a reason, don’t be worried about annoying people with too many posts. The more the better!

I post twice a week on my blog (Wednesdays and Sundays) and every day on my Instagram.

Remember to not compare yourself to others. If you have a passion and you want you to blog about it, the only thing stopping you is yourself.

If you have any questions then please comment and I’ll get back to you.
