My favourite skincare products

I thought it was about time I do a post on my favourite skincare products that I use, so behold, I bring you my Top 7 must have skincare products I can’t live without at the moment!

I have never been an avid skincare user, I would always cleanse my face and moisturise day and night but that was about it. However since I have started blogging, I have been lucky enough to be sent quite a few products, which in turn got me more and more interested in looking after my skin and trying the various weird and wonderful products on the market.

I think there is a weird sort of distrust with the beauty industry in which we all just think it’s all fake and doesn’t actually work.. but there are genuinely good products out there and these have been tried and tested by myself and I love them so I hope you will too 🙂

I thankfully haven’t begun to see wrinkles yet, but the best way to prevent them is by using anti-ageing products so I have started to try anything that claims to anti-age. Wrinkles are easy to delay and prevent from appearing but once you’ve got them they can be super hard to get rid of. So believe me even if you’re under 20 I would highly recommend using products to prevent those lines!

1. Clinique Freshly Pressed 7 day treatment £25

I loved this Clinique product as it was something different, I’ve never seen anything like it before.

It is a simple two-step system containing pure Vitamin C in a fine powder, that activates when you mix it with your normal morning/night cream and you add it into the little pump and it squeezes a small amount out which is all you need. I use a bit each morning and it really brightens up my face. It is also meant to really help with anti-ageing which is always good!

charlotte tilbury skincare

2. Charlotte Tilbury Mask £45

I had heard so many good things about Charlotte Tilbury products but was a little bit put off by the price of £70 for the magic cream, so I opted to buy this mask instead which I got for £45 & I love it!

It’s a 3 in 1 product, you can use it as a 10 minute mask, a cleanser or balm. It is a gorgeous pink creamy consistency and smells beautiful.

derma roller

3. Swiss Clinic Derma Roller Skin Renewal £84

So this was something I was super excited to try as I have heard such good things about derma rollers. I’ve seen a couple of friends go and have it done at a clinic and had really good results, but it is so expensive so when I came across this ‘do it at home’ derma roller I wanted to try it. It comes with a special anti bacteria spray to ensure your skin and the roller and clean and then a skin renewal serum to apply after using the roller on your face. I use it every few days for a few minutes, rolling vertically and then horizontally across my face. The reason it helps is because it creates tiny holes in your face, forcing your skin to basically renew and create new fresh skin! Skin Renewal minimises fine lines, wrinkles and scars, makes skin firmer and smoother, improves elasticity and reduces enlarged pores.

clarins fake tan

4. Clarins Radiance-Plus Golden Glow Booster £20

Ok I promise you I am not just saying this, this is the best face fake tan you will ever use! You apply a few drops and mix it in with your night cream, apply to your face and just wait till the morning. You will literally look like you’ve been on holiday and been sun kissed. It gives you the complete perfect natural sun kissed glow. Every time I wear it someone will say my skin looks glowy! I just love it so much and couldn’t recommend it enough.

dr barbara sturm

5. Dr. Barbara Sturm Face cream £132

This is my current go-to face cream. Dr. Barbarba Sturm is a specialist in cosmetic medicine and has released this wonderful range of skincare. I feel like I just trust it so much more because there is a face behind the products and a professional face at that. Her products are inspired by her research into molecular medicine and are harnessed by the power of natural ingredients.

caudalie

6. Caudalie Elixir £49 + Caudalie Complexion correcting serum £45

Caudalie is another skincare brand I have always loved, since receiving the elixir free with a Vogue magazine subscription a couple of years back. It smells like roses and feels so soft on my skin I just love it. It is a dry oil so doesn’t make your skin feel too oily, it leaves it feeling perfectly soft and radiant.

The complexion correcting serum is also great, it’s perfect if you have dark spots on your skin as it directly targets them and evens out your skin tone.

pericone md

7. Perricone MD Cold Plasma £129  + Blue Plasma £79

These products may not smell amazing but they are truly worth the money. If you read about them online and see the reviews they speak for themselves, they really do help your skin.

Dr Perricone is a board-certified dermatologist and a world renowned anti ageing expert and his products are fantastic.

I try not to use it that often just because of how expensive it is but when I feel like my skin is a bit worse than usual I use the Cold Plasma after cleansing both morning and night.

& The Blue Plasma is a gentle daily peel that delivers the benefits of a traditional peel would but doesn’t have the inflammatory acids that can cause irritation. It basically gets rid of dead skin cells and unclogs your pores, purifying your skin.

I hope you enjoyed this post!
